Institute Presentation
The Dresden University Stroke centre (DUSC) at Technical University of Dresden consists of the departments of neurology (Director: Prof. H. Reichmann), neuroradiology (Head: Prof. R. von Kummer) and neurosurgery (Director: Prof. G. Schackert). Professor Ruediger von Kummer is actually the head of DUSC. The DUSC is involved in academic research projects including sponsored or investigator initiated trials. It has an established research infrastructure with expierenced scientific researchers, study nurses and a local Coordinating centre for Clinical Studies (KKS). Clinical trials are carried out at Neurointensive Care Unit (Head: Dr. H. Schneider) and at Stroke Unit (Head: Dr. U. Bodechtel).
